NVME FREE
We’re always looking at how we can use cutting edge technology. That’s why we were integral in conceiving and continuing to develop the open source FreeNVMe drivers alongside Stader Softwareentwicklung and RISC OS Open. We were so pleased with the results, we’ve given (nearly) all of our PiHard systems over to NVMe storage! Enhanced Performance with NVMe Storage NVMe technology provides faster data access than other traditional storage methods. We have collaborated with major RISC OS partners to develop open-source NVMe drivers, now integrated into RISC OS, ensuring optimal performance. You can read more about FreeNVMe here. There’s also an FAQ to help answer queries. Our Product Range We offer a variety of systems to meet different needs: VENOM: A compact NUC-style system featuring a 4GB RAM, 32GB eMMC boot drive, and up to 1TB NVMe drive, powered by an overclocked ARM CPU up to 2.28GHz. eNVy.Me: A stylish, compact system with a 1.8GHz ARM CPU, 2GB RAM, and 128GB NVMe storage, housed in an electric blue alloy and acrylic case. Chimera: A dual-boot system running both RISC OS and Linux simultaneously, equipped with 6GB RAM and dual 256GB NVMe drives, offering versatility for various applications. PiRO Qube: A mighty powerhouse in a miniature package, with a 2GHz CPU, up to 4GB RAM and 128GB of NVMe storage. Commitment to Open-Source Development By supporting us, you contribute to the advancement of open-source projects within the RISC OS community, fostering innovation and collaboration. Value for money We know there are other paid-for NVMe drivers for RISC OS, and for that reason, we’ve commissioned independent tests on all of our systems to ensure they work with either driver. The only difference between systems is the cost of our hardware - we believe we offer greater value when compared to alternative NVMe systems. Our prices start from only £179 and our top-of -the-range single CPU system is under £300. And our drivers will always be free. Customisation and Support We provide options for system customisation, including hardware upgrades and personalised case designs. We also offer a range of compatible peripherals and accessories to enhance your computing experience. Choosing a FreeNVMe system from us ensures high-performance computing, a selection of tailored systems, and active participation in the growth of the RISC OS open-source ecosystem.
