RISC OS 5.28 and 2.5GB of software as standard, with optional software worth more than £600.
Fast LPDDR4-3200 memory and Super Turbo Drive storage system.
Fast m.2 Super Turbo Drive storage for reliability, speed and performance.
Very cool. In so many ways.
FOURtress is a super cool RISC OS compact system - cool in how it keeps the temperature of the Pi low, and cool in how it looks. Rocking an internal fan, it even makes Linux cool. With its sleek angular metal case, which also acts to dissipate the heat from the Pi, it looks thoroughly modern. And cool.
FOURtress also features high-performance DDR4 memory, which combined with the state of the art ARM CPU running as standard at 2.1GHz, all adds up to faster processing. With more memory — it has 2GB as standard but can be upgraded to 4GB or even 8GB — it is capable of more than you can possibly imagine in RISC OS.
With a combination of a fast micro SD drive and our discreet high capacity Super Turbo Drive systems, the FOURtress can store all of your necessary apps, and load them in super quick time. For users with access to disc-intensive applications like new, modern web browsers, the Super Turbo Drive allows the FOURtress to load them even faster than SATA-connected drives on those machines with slower processors. Unlike cheap USB sticks, the modern m.2 SSD used in the FOURtress is purpose-designed for reliability as a safer storage medium for your apps, files and documents. You can even access the files from a different machine, using the file-transfer cable. Coupled with the 2.1GHz processor, this all adds up to fast, flexible and flying FOURtress!
Expanding your control.
FOURtress allows easy access to the GPIO ports for managing a range of controllable devices. If you don’t use the GPIO, use the natty magnetic cover to hide it out of the way. FOURtress also has three spare USB ports to enable you to add your favourite peripherals and hard drives. Add a powered USB hub for ultra-expansion.
Power to the desktop.
Utilising the flexibility and speed of RISC OS, combined with the processing power and robust storage, the Pi Hard helps you become a more efficient RISC OS user. Not to mention 4k resolutions for extreme productivity.
